Mike has always dreamed of learning how to fly helicopters, so for Christmas he got his first
helicopter flying lesson. We drove up to the Ogden Hinckley Airport yesterday for the lesson and it was a lot of fun.
First the instructor taught him about the helicopter and how it works.
Then the instructor gave him some instructions inside the helicopter before taking off for their half-hour fly over the canyons.
Mike said the instructor did the take off and the landing, but the helicopter was in Mike's hands the rest of the time.
Bryson and I hung out on the ground and played with Bryson's toy helicopter while we waited. Next time we'll for sure go along for the ride but I really wanted to get some on-the-ground photos and video of Mike's first flight.
Mike loved it and was in heaven the whole time!
